About Montgomery, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Montgomery is a charming Texas town not far from Houston. The weather in this part of the world is warm year-round and the residents are every bit as warm and cheery every day of the year, as well. A tiny town of about 600 residents, it is a lovely historic village with many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. The downtown area looks the same as it did in the 1800’s and the shops and food there are both high end and unique.
Montgomery got its start as a trading post in the early 19th century and was officially chartered as a town in 1837. It was the first county seat of Montgomery County and is said to be the birthplace of the Texas Lone Star, an incredibly important symbol for a state called “The Lone Star State.” The Texas Lone Star flag is more than a just a state flag but an emblem of Texan pride and culture. Montgomery may be small but its pleasant weather, friendly citizens, and historic Texas ambience are what make the people who live there so proud to call it home.
In addition to the fact that Montgomery is special in and of itself, it is also located so close to Houston that day trips (or special nights out) to the big city can be easily planned. On a hot Texas day, check out Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark, an award-winning amusement park that has even been featured on the travel channel. While the waterpark is certainly a wonderful way to spend time with the family, on a date night you might prefer to take in a play or music show at some of the awesome bars and theatres in town.
Let’s face it, Texas’ weather can become downright toasty at times and tourists and citizens alike just need to escape indoors for a bit of a/c. So, what do you do? You check out one of the great Houston museums, like the 20th Century Technology Museum where you can explore modern science or the El Campo Museum of Natural History. No matter where you go or what you do, however, you can count on friendly people, Southern hospitality and a whole lot of fun.
